There are more invasions than are apparent in daily life. We are constantly being invaded, our bodies  that is, are constantly being attacked and invaded by tiny organisms that seek to make us hosts for their nefarious activities. Bacteria and viruses and everything in between constantly invade our physical bodies and wage war with our antibodies and lymphocytes and macrophages which valiantly protect us from these cellular terrorists whose principal purpose is to destroy the peace and stability of our bodies. Whew!! There must be some very important purpose other than to bring down the human population.

It's a good thing we have developed some pretty good armaments against these microscopic invaders that never seem to run out of mischief. However, the war is far from over, these invaders keep on evolving their own armaments to thwart our own defenses. There still exists breakouts, epidemics and medical crises that keep our researchers on their toes.
